1. What Fraud Checker is

Fraud Checker is a community platform where people share their experiences of scams in Bangladesh so that others can check phone numbers, wallets, accounts and pages before paying.

Reports describe the experiences of the people who submitted them. Moderators check the evidence before publishing, but a published report is not a finding of guilt by a court or authority.

2. Your account

You must give accurate information and verify your email address and Bangladeshi mobile number before submitting a report. One phone number may be linked to one account only.

You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has used it.

3. Submitting reports

Only report incidents you experienced or have direct knowledge of, and only with genuine evidence.

When you submit a report you confirm that it is true to the best of your knowledge. False, exaggerated or malicious reports may be removed, may lead to your account being suspended, and may expose you to legal liability, including under Bangladeshi defamation law.

You keep ownership of what you submit, but you give us a non-exclusive licence to store, review, edit for privacy (for example blurring personal details) and publish it on the platform.

4. Content we do not allow

See the Content Policy. In short: no false accusations, no personal data beyond what is needed to identify the scam (no home addresses, family details or unrelated people), no threats, hate or harassment, and no attempts to settle personal disputes through reports.

5. Moderation, disputes and removal

We may refuse, edit, remove or restore content at our discretion, including after a dispute or takedown request.

Anyone named in a report can dispute it. We never accept payment to remove a valid report.

6. Acceptable use

Do not scrape, bulk-query or attempt to reconstruct masked data, bypass rate limits or captchas, or use the platform to stalk, harass or extort anyone. Automated access is only allowed through an agreement with us.

7. Disclaimer and liability

The platform is provided "as is". The absence of reports about a number or page does not mean it is safe, and the presence of reports does not prove wrongdoing. Always use your own judgement before paying anyone.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from decisions you make based on information on the platform.

8. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. Significant changes will be announced on the website. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
